HOW TO GET IN FORMENTERA?

- By plane:
With no airport, you first need to fly to Ibiza. Once you land, the quickest way is to take a taxi to the port of Ibiza. Are you already in Ibiza and do you have a rental car that you don’t want to take with you? There is a parking lot near the port, one street behind the main buildings.

- By ferry:
Ferries are leaving every half an hour and takes around half an hour to reach the port of La Savina in Formentera. The most economical and speedy way to reach Formentera is with Aquabus. This leading low-cost ferry company offers great service and has different ticket options: €19 for if you return the same day, or €29 if you are going for longer. During the peak summer months, you can take the ferry back to Ibiza until midnight, which makes it very easy to visit it in one day, but once you set foot on this small piece of paradise you will never want to leave!
- By bus on Formentera:
From the port of Formentera, you have local buses that follow certain routes through the island. If you go to Cala Saona, you can take the local bus to Sant Francesc Xavier to change to another bus. Unfortunately, the schedules are not really respected, so we decided to take a taxi which cost us €15. On the island itself, you better rent a bike or a scooter, because the roads here are super quiet, making it safe to drive and you can easily explore the island by yourself.
